During 16 and 19 May 2016, the "III Pan-American Conference on wetland systems for the treatment and improvement of water quality" was carried out in the auditorium of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in the city of Santa Fe. The conference was organized by the Facultad de Ingeniería Química (Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina) in conjunction with Instituto Mexicano de Tecnología del Agua (IMTA- Mexico), Aarhus Universitet (Denmark) and the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira (Colombia).
